01The walkaround

Built in-house.
Not ordered in.

Driveshafts are fabricated and balanced in our own shop in Bacliff, Texas — which means repairs and custom builds get a driveline matched to the vehicle, not a forced-fit catalog part.

Why AAE Customs

A shop that stands behind the work.

No service-writer runaround, no upsell scripts. You deal directly with the shop that does the work.

About

Twenty years of turning wrenches. One specialty.

From All-American Enterprises to AAE Customs

The shop opened in 2006 as All-American Enterprises, taking on general automotive and fabrication work in Bacliff, Texas. Over the years, one thing kept coming through the door more than anything else: driveline work — and the off-road rigs attached to it.

Today the shop is known as AAE Customs, focused on what it does best: custom-built driveshafts for any vehicle or boat, and Jeep & off-road repair and customization. Owner Lane Mills runs the shop directly — when you call, you're talking to the person responsible for your build.

Custom Built Driveshafts

Built to your vehicle's exact spec — street trucks, off-road rigs, work vehicles, and boats. If it turns a shaft, we can build for it.

Any vehicle. Boats too.

A driveshaft isn't a shelf part — length, joint style, tube diameter, and balance all have to match the way the vehicle is actually built and used. We build custom shafts to fit, whether it's a daily driver, a lifted trail rig, or a boat.

We also handle existing shafts: modifications, component replacement, and rebalancing. Bring it in or call to talk through what you need.

Jeep & Off-Road Repair

Repair work for Jeeps and off-road rigs, from a shop that actually builds them. Driveline problems are our home turf.

Fixed by people who build them.

Off-road vehicles break in ways street cars don't, and modified rigs need a shop that understands what's been changed and why. We diagnose and repair with the whole build in mind — including the vibrations, clunks, and driveline issues other shops send away.

Not sure if it's something we handle? Call and describe it. If it's not our kind of work, we'll say so.

Common questions
Do you only work on Jeeps?
Jeeps are the specialty, but off-road rigs in general are welcome. Call and describe what you've got.
Can you diagnose a driveline vibration?
Yes — drivelines are what we do. Vibrations, clunks, and worn joints are everyday work here.
My rig is heavily modified. Is that a problem?
No — it's the norm. We repair with the whole build in mind, including whatever's been changed from stock.

Off-Road Customization

Custom off-road work, with a specialty in Jeeps. Built around how you actually use the vehicle — not a catalog package.

Built around the way you drive it.

Every build starts with a conversation: what the Jeep needs to do, where it's going, and what's already been done to it. From there we scope the work and build it properly — with the driveline expertise to make sure the whole package works together.

Because we build driveshafts in-house, modified rigs get drivelines matched to the build — not forced-fit parts.

Common questions
What kind of customization do you do?
Off-road builds with a specialty in Jeeps. Every project is scoped individually — tell us what you want the vehicle to do and we'll plan the work.
Do you handle the driveline on modified builds?
Yes — driveshafts are built in-house, so modified rigs get a driveline matched to the build rather than forced-fit parts.
How do I start a build?
Call the shop or send the quote form. Builds start with a conversation about the vehicle and the goal.
